Play Mill (Nine men’s morris) online on GroupTube with a friend — shared board, live moves, and voice or video for a strategic two-player match.
The Mill Game, also known as Nine men’s morris, is a strategy game for two players. Pieces go on intersections; forming a mill (three in a row along a line) lets you remove an opponent’s piece. It is easy to learn, with real depth.
How to start playing
Two players join the game. Moves and captures are shared live, so everyone in the group sees the same board — ideal for coaching or a friendly audience.
Rules
The game rules on GroupTube match the usual Nine men’s morris rules (place nine pieces each, then move; “flying” when down to three pieces).
1. Starting Position
The board starts empty. The board has 24 points (intersections) connected by lines; play happens on the points, not in the squares.
2. Placement phase
Players take turns placing nine pieces each onto empty points. If you create a mill (three of your pieces in a row along a line), you remove one enemy piece, following the usual restrictions (not from a mill unless there is no other choice).
3. Movement phase
When all pieces are placed, each turn you move one of your pieces along a line to an adjacent empty point.
4. Flying
When a player has only three pieces left, those pieces may move to any empty point in one step (not only adjacent points).
5. End of the game
You win if your opponent has only two pieces left, or if they cannot move on their turn.
